Most people are selfish these days. Selfish about feelings, love, everything. More concerned about how you made them feel. Rather than how they might of made you feel. More concerned with who they love. Rather than who loves them. More concerned with what makes them happy. Rather than who they make happy. Most people forget who they were 15 years ago. Who they loved, where they were, what they wanted. Most people dont realize if in that span of time, If they have made a difference in someones life. If they made a difference in their own lives. Or if anything has even changed at all. No one ever thinks of what they need. Always concerned with what they want. Want versus need, are two totally different objects. I wonder how many people ever take the time to step back, and look at the big picture. Look at their surroundings, home, life, family, city, state, the world. Does anyone take the time to notice the small things in life anymore? Or even enjoy such things in life anymore

Outdoorsman's Ramblings
Leave it to me....let murphy's law prevail. The batteries had died on my camera on my last hike, so I made it s priority to pick up some new batteries at Radio Shack on my way out of town. Well, I figured I'd gotten a pretty late start and had to go into the office for a few hours so I'll just load the camera when I'm at the trailhead. So driving up a small barely a road called Palookaville Trail, I round the corner and there in the middle of the road sits a 350-400 lb grizzly bear. Not the largest I've seen but closest I've been to one in about 20 years. 8 feet to be exact. Well, all the windows are rolled down and the dog is going nuts barking at this big furry creature while I am feverishly scrounging for the camera and the batteries to put in it. I get the batteries in it and now the bear is about 25-30 yards away. So much for the great picture opportunity. Anyhow, I managed to get about 6 or so shots off, but some were while the bear was at a full run about 40 MPH a

To be more than fair, I must say that after the every last metallica album Since "THE BLACK ALBUM" I uttered the same refrain ...Never Again! Having said so since 1986's Master of Puppets I have bought every new Metallica album on the day of it's release, WITHOUT FAIL! Does this make me a fair weather Metallica Fan. NO It makes me a Highly cynical, Critical and skeptical fan...Who ever hopes they could recapture the LIGHTNING they had for 4 short years and 3 short albums in the 80's. For me Metallica essentially ended Sept of 1986 with the death of Cliff Burton and the long dry spells between overly anticipated albums that failed to meet each of the expectations one would expect from the GREATEST THRASH BAND EVER. In 22 years since the release of Master metallica has only had 5 albums with Death Magnetic becoming number 6 and a2 live dvds A box set and a cover tune cd. My Rambling Thoughts & Questions
I started to write this morning like I have done so many others I actually wrote quite a bit. I then realized that the subject I was writing on and what I was writing is one of the major issues that we face after being hurt as bad as so many of us have. So I got bored the other night and posted a personals ad on craigslist....All I can say is OMFG it really opened my eyes to how superficial people are. Now the reason I say people and not men is because woman are guilty of the same exact thing. Why is it that now a days everyone is judged and criticized for evey little thing. OK... I really have to wonder as to what CT is all about. Well after a late start we finally got going. Ofcourse ther was traffice and lunch took too long, but all's good We can to Baltimore and find out I Google-Mapped the direction to the wrong address. Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years — so long that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the boyfriend finally called police. when I first started my workout program I weighed and measured myself.. this was the starting out weights and measurements: 115 pounds 20% body fat 60.5% water weight 36 chest 30 waist 34 hip now its 2 weeks later and my measurements are: 109 pounds 15% body fat 56.5% water weight 30 chest 29 waist 30 hips I am not out to lose weight as I am out to gain muscle weight, how long before it shows?? Just an Update everyone because it's the most commonly asked, How I'm doin so far. Well I drove down in my chevy impala from Watertown NY to Orlando Fl. Just my kid, the dog and I with only the stuff that I could pack into it. My sis helped me find a very reasonable and wonderful community to move into which was ready for me when I arrived. The trip down was such and adventure seeing all the different towns and cities as I passed through them. I really enjoyed it a lot. Secret's Secrets
Well this is the first time blogging after my surgery....just wanted to let all my friends know i am on the mend and the surgery was a big success. I will put a couple of pics up to show what was done and how well i am healing. I am looking forward to being 100% once again! Well i will be out of comission for a bit...i am having surgery tomorrow on my arm. they have to go in and release the ulna nerve at my elbow and at my wrist and while they are doing that they are going to take care of my carpal tunnel. I am a bit nervous but i know i am in good hands, my doctor is supposed to be one of the best at this proceedure. I am just not looking forward to the recovery time it is seriously gonna cut into my play time LOL! Oh well, I WILL BE BACK!!!! Just had a wonderful encounter today. As my profile states I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are currently experiencing an all time record flood. The Cedar River runs right the center of town and divides the East and West ends of town. Flood stage for the river is 18 feet. The highest flood on record was 20 feet in 1929, currently the river is at 20.23 feet and is predicted to crest at 24.5 feet. The Dream Is Over… Well, here I sit now, broken down until I question me and what all I might have done wrong. Herman's Coleslaw 1 (4 lb) head of cabbage 2 medium onions 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar 1 cup cider vinegar 1 teaspoon dry mustard 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon celery seed 1/2-3/4 cup salted oil 1 clove garlic, minced Shred cabbage and onions. Cover with the 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside. Boil vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar, mustard, salt and celery seed. Pour over cabbage while hot. Add grated carrots or dices pimientos for color. Add garlic and salted oil. Let set for 24 hours. Serve cold. CRANBERRY APPLETEASER 8-cups cranberry juice cocktail 8-cups orange juice 2 lemons thinly sliced 4 tablespoons sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg To Serve Hot: Mix all ingredients and simmer slowly for 10 minutes.
