Here Lately.......
I am so swamped with school two people never showed for the group project and tonight one of the other team members send me an email say she won't be able to participate due to computer problems. AAAaaaarrrgghhhh!!! What is it with people trying to save the world? Recycle this, don't waste that, go organic, plant a tree, grow your own veggies, use eco-fuel in your cars. Lets face it people, the planet is screwed. Ever since the very, very first person figured out you could use gas, oil, coal etc to keep warm, ever since that first flame was lit, we've been pumping chemicals into our atmosphere EVERY single day since then. The car is an amazing sample of energy use. Consider the total (and I mean absolute total) energy consumed in a cars life from the very beggining to the very end. You have to mine the metals, chop down the wood for that lush interior that is oh so fashionable, the rubber for the tyres etc etc. Then you have to transport them to the factory. Then you have to use an incredibly huge amount of energy in chopping, changing, mixing and moulding those materials in order to get the finished result. Friendships
Out of the thousands of people that have passed through my life, I have found only a handful of those that mean a lot to me. Steve is one of those people. Surgery
Hey ya'll, I'm sure many of you have been wondering where I've disappeared too these last few days. Monday while I was at work I got really sick all of a sudden and the girls I worked with made me go to ER. Seems I had a gallbladder attack, so they did an emergency operation to remove it. They found a gallstone inside of it that measure 2.5 cm wide. No wonder I was hurting so dang bad. Good news though, I am home now and starting to recuperate from the 4 holes I had cut into my abdomen to remove it. I'll try to get on here as much as I can to let everyone know how I'm doing. Well, it's been a week since my father passed away. I am still having some trouble with sleeping. But I am getting through each day better. There are moments when something I see or hear will remind me of dad. Yesterday I thought I saw him drive through town. Then I thought "no, get a grip, dad is gone." Today i decided to take a trip to the local library with the kids. I figured we wouldn't be there too long because my daughter and I already knew which ones we wanted. So in theory, all we had to do was walk in and get on the computer and look up the correct place the book was in, and then go get it off the shelf, right?? WRONG! After looking around for a bit i asked the librarian how to find the book that we wanted. She literally pointed to a huge wall full of books and said "it's over in that area somewhere". I though she was joking at first....Apparently, they only use the dewey decimal system on their non-fictions. Everything else either has a colored tab on it, or it's "suppose" to be in alpha. order. My Hopes And Dreams
I base my life on failure. I know that I am wrong for doing this but it hard to fathom it any other way. For a long time regardless of what I have said in the past. The Waiting Is Over...at Least Until The Next Step
THE WAITING IS OVER....AT LEAST UNTIL THE NEXT STEP I mine as well just be blunt and get it over with. There really isn't any other way to ease into it. My doctor called me last evening to inform me that I do have the C word. Cancer...yes I was actually not that shocked. I knew in my mind for 3 weeks now that I had it. I just needed to hear the doctor confirm what I have been thinking all along. So, the waiting of the unknowing is over. Am over that hurdle. Next hurdle is a private consultation with her to discuss and educate me on what kind I have, stage, treatment, all options etc. This will happen either tomorrow or Friday depending on scheduling and gettting the written report back from the Pathologist. (The call from my doctor was actually pre-mature without the written report in her hand but she knew I was going outta of mind not knowing so she called me with the only finding of ...that is was cancer.) I rarely get add requests from out of the blue. Let's face it. Most guys don't, unless there are NSFW pics or other enticements involved. Ai, it has been an ok week. Up and down with my son. Hhe did something bad that his girlfriend can't forgive him for, he apparently had sex with another girl. Yes, my 16 year old son! Am I A Bad Mom?
Ok, so Im a single mom, never been married. My daughter's father gave up all rights to her at birth. I have been very blessed to have had my family to help me out with her. When she was 15months, she was diagnosed with a Wilm's Tumor, a form of kidney cancer. She will be 8 yrs remission this Halloween. But, for many years she recieved chemo and radiation.
