T.V. show after T.V. Show, movie after movie, sex has become the most talked about subject of all. Write a book on the subject sex it will sale. But what happen to informing society about having safe sex. Safe sex is the way to go by using protection (condom) "Wrap it up" is a quote that needs to be more worldly advertised a little bit more. There are way too many diseases spreading for people not to practice safe sex. Believe it or not there are diseases out there that haven't been name or discovered but are spreading at a rapid rate. We've got to put a stop to it and the only thing we can do is inform others what can possibility happen if they wish not to practice safe sex. Time and time again I see girls get pregnant and do not have the finances to take care of a child or start a family. If you are going to have sex wrap it up or else you may catch something you can't delete and handle. Sexual diseases are real people make the decision to wrap it up before it's too late.

Royals 2007 Employee Picnic
As we have done for about the last 4 years, several volunteers showed up at the Royals annual associate picnic to participate in playing softball on the actual playing field of Kauffman Stadium, home of the Major League baseball team Kansas City Royals.... I had three hits out of three at bats: a triple, double and a single....those hits make me 8 for 10 in the last 3 years that I've participated.... This time, one of my teammates saw my play out there and was giving me special attention every day after those games....one day, he greeted me by saying,"wassup big playmaker." lol nobody has ever called me that before....I told him that I was wondering if he was treating me the way he was because he liked what he saw me do in softball....he just giggled....I gained a new buddy just by having fun and playing the game of softball that day....and softball is like heaven on earth for me....

So I went to Malvern this weekend and I hung out with some people that I haven't hung out with and forever. And the wierd, but cool, thing about it is, I had fun. Alot of fun. Well sometimes you never realize the value of your life until something major happens or almost happens. I got to get a reminder today to enjoy every day as a blessing when I got to see a car heading my way going the wrong way on the highway. I guess I probably should elaborate. . . . First Attempt
One of the great things about the Military is that On all Federal Holidays we get a 4 Day weekend. For Memorial Day we're getting Sat-Tue off so I'm in an awsome mood. Ok everyone....I dont know if this is believable or not but if there was a way to break your power cord without touching it, well i did it, and i and dont have a replacement...The laptop fell off the bed onto the floor and right on the tip of the power cord and broke the solder(sp) well now i cant charge my laptop...I went to my moms house and charged it for a little bit but it wont last long...i got online long enough to check everything and thats it...so needless to say that i wont be on much for the next couple of days cause i have to get a new power cord....but i will say hello to everyone i can when i get on....For those of you that know how to get a hold of me...you are welcome to call me...Hope to talk to everyone soon....Love for all my family and friends...

Just A Simple Girl
So..it's like what..12 days till that wonderful day of wrapping paper being ripped open. I have NO clue what I'm getting the kids... and sat. I have to shop. Man I hate that feeling.. Why is that people will tell you that they will call you back or help you out and then just not do it? I HATE this. Not What U Were Expecting
when i'm expecting something to go one way and it goes another i am always unhappy with the results. Even if the result on its own would be considered positive. I reached for a cream soda, someone had switched one of the bottles in the 6 pack, i opened and drank it, not seeing it wasn't cream soda. It tasted terrible. Turned out to be black cherry soda. I love black cherry soda, but not when i'm expecting a cream soda. i am not trying to make a moral statement or some philosophical revelation. but the moral to the story is, live without expectation and you'll be disappointed less often.

Mistakes
sometimes in life we make mistakes that we can't fix and some that we can. But those that can be fixed well we try and try and even then they may not be able to be. for example When you love someone and you know that, that person loves you back but has a temper that just needs to be tamed down a bit because you done something that you thought would have made them happy or at least smile but instead it pissed them off, and you try to talk to that person but all they do is block you and erase you from everything known to man. Well today I lost a 4 yr old pt of mine. Sweetiest little boy you would ever meet. He faught hard for 2 yrs but I guess the cancer was just stronger then we thought. I smile when I think about him, because no matter what treatment he was going through he always seemed to work up a giant smile for his fav. nurses. Love And Relationships
Over the years, I've become pretty good at introspection, honestly examining myself and critiquing my actions and my life. Lately I've been thinking a lot about my relationships and love. What I've found isn't very nice or encouraging. Looking back over the years what I've discovered is that I have the ability to evoke many good emotions from the women in my life, friendship, pleasure, desire, lust. But the one emotion I don't bring out is love. Oh sure, I've been told "I love you" but what I've discovered is that with one notable exception, I'm in their lives for other reasons. I fill some need in their lives other than love, a shoulder to cry on, a sympathetic ear, some one to vent to, an escape, whatever. I know this sounds like so much self pity, but really, it's not. Politically Correct
Today was the first day of a perinatal nursing conference I'm attending for work. We started out with the most difficult part first-bereavement and helping patients who had lost their precious babies. As part of the lesson, three sets of parents came in to talk to us for 2 hours about their stories and their entire experiences with the loss of their children. Reading about how to care for people in these situations is good, but nothing prepared me or taught me better than these familes did. One thing that a father said really spoke to my heart and I don't think that I'll ever forget his words. He said: "If you think that it's better to be politically correct than to hold your patient's hand and cry with them, then you don't need to be a nurse and you should just quit now." Wow, what a profound statement. It reminded me again why I am doing what I do. My Plan...Alright...most know that I am done with school...except for the CLEP test that I am studying hard for. Yesterday talking to my friend, haha, I was thinking about the little nuisance that dwells in your stomach commonly known as "butterflies". Well so questioning why I had them I decided to research it, since I do that quite often. Anyways, I’ve found that this man named Greshon believes that we have a smaller brain connected to our main frame brain, or our "big brain" as he referred to it. It also said that the reason we get butterflies is because our brain recognizes something is wrong and sends it to our small brain, then from there as a reaction of anxiety our stomach creates a feeling of fluttering. Our smaller brain doesn’t need the big brain to function however. It can work alone and carries out menial tasks. Idk I thought it was interesting , I want to read more about it&&&such.

My First Blog
I really don't think that I can handle much more. In the last week I've lost 3 people. I lost my great grandma on the 14th, I lost a friend (Jarrett Lane) on the 16th at Virginia Tech, and this morning I lost my great aunt. Everytime I turn around something is going wrong. Everytime things finally start to look up, it all goes to hell. I am so sick of this. And everything that happened at VT is really killing me. I GOT ACCEPTED TO ODU School of Nursing!!!!! It's in VA and it's a 2 year accelerated program. On 3/6/07 I was hit hard with reality. My world cam crashing down and I knew I had a long road ahead of me to rebuild. As I lay crying Barry smiled. Finding Myself

Earlier today, I was checking in on a profile that I have on the net to see what was going on. On what I thought everyone had, that has a page like me, is a small window that shows pictures that were just recently uploaded by friends. Kinda like our news feeds on here. This site allows adult material (frontal nudity) such as pictures, videos and so on. Not everyone posts that kind of stuff. A female friend was posting those sort of pictures and I know that I was not suppose to be able to see them. Usually only people that are in your "family" are able to see those. If noone has ever heard of CDH it stands for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This is a birth defect that ca be treatable but is more times than not fatal to the infants born with it. I am writing this strictly because recently my life has ben affected by CDH. A very close friend new that her daughter would be born with CDH, they would take her directly from the womb to a Children's hospital where they would perform surgery to try and prevent further damage and to fix what had already been done. due to the difficulties from two surgeries her 17 day old daughter lost her fight with CDH.
