Florida Trip

On August 4th, 2008 we lost two good soldiers to an EFP. Menke was a young college kid whom postponed college to come here. Henry was a Cpt. on the Indianapolis Fire Department and on the Emergency Dive Team. Both are missed by the unit, friends, and family. Can't say much more now...

Life Is A Phenomenon Created By Love
Just want to get a few ideas and thoughts out of my head before they drive me insane. A few who know me on here knows that I lost my mother in April to kidney failure. It was sudden, and totally unseen. Not like anyone could ever prepare for some one close to them to die, but it was a complete shock that to this day I'm still caught off guard from time to time. Usually I can keep my mind busy so I don't think about the loss, but with the holidays happening and I have no clue how to stop them, I've been thinking about my mom alot. So Many Sleepless Nights

Marco Miller is our areas latest loss to the war. He was 36 and just became a father for the first time in August. He never got to hold his daughter. Only got to see a couple of pictures his girlfriend sent him. Marco died from injuries caused by a roadside bomb. He was declared brain dead at a hospital in Germany. They did keep him going till his sister and two brothers arrived to be with him when they stopped life support. He had been living in Florida. Marco owned a photograpy studio. Ok so this is my first blog post. Let me catch you up on my life. If you read my profile you'll already know that I'm a Navy wife. And if you know anything about the military you realize that we don't stay in one place for very long. We have been stationed in Gulfport for a little over 2 years. On New Year's Eve we FINALLY got our orders to San Diego cut. So now I am in the planning stages of our big move. So many things to plan and arrange........it's really a headache. Kids And School
I just wanted to write a little about what is going on with my kids and school and all. Andrew, oldest son, is going into the 4th grade next year, man i can't believe how big he has grown. Kyle, my baby, is going to be going to a regular Pre-K class. It is still only the 2 1/2 hours per day, but it's mon-fri! He will be taking speech classes during the summer and also next yr. His special-ed teacher will keep an eye on his progress in the new class, and if there are any changes, if he starts to lag, or not progress like he is supposed to then she is going to pull him out. She really thinks he is ready for the regular class now and if that is the case then he will not need special classes later on. We hope anyways! I mean in just a few months, he is able to say the pledge of allegiance, name his colors, animals, the sounds they make, shapes, letters, and is wearing underwear to class. Saddness
On Friday, October 10th the love of my life was in a head on collision that left him in ICU in fair condition. He has 5 broken ribs, broken collar bone, severely bruised lungs. The Bus
I see my life as a big charter bus. It looks great from the outside big and black and shiny with a great colorful design on the side. It is just beautiful. At least from a distance. Once you get closer you see that the windows are kind of dirty and the paint is scuffed and chipped in some places. Still from the outside it looks just fine. It doesn't seem to run anymore. So to get any where I have to push it. It rolls for a while once I get it going. Beauty In The Darkness
It is often said that when we die it's only the beginning of everlasting life! I feel life as we know it is some how connected to the other side! It's like 2 alternate worlds coexisting with one another! Only one runs a time frame a lil quicker than ours. For me that explains dejavue, we enter one alternate universe and it takes a while for this reality to catch up so we get that feelling like we've been through this before! To me when we die we experience shades of gray and lite fog all around with everything a lil dim. I think the movie Silent Hill explains that very well!
