Ok, these two choices may appear to be the same at first, so let me clarify.
romatic love is the kind spoke of in literature...the forbidden coupling of star-crossed lovers, the passionate trash you'd find in dime store novels, the epic love that spans the ages, but the spark fizzles eventually.
Affectionate love is that which takes a long time to develop. Love that starts off as friendship and deepens. There may be passion, but only in small doses, but that kind of love lasts forever.
Which kind of love would you prefer in your life?
That great romantic love that comes along only once in your life but usually leaves you heartbroken when it ends. That kind of love that causes great grief and ecstasy simultaneously.
Or that kind of love that keeps you warm at night and that you can rely on throughout your life. |
