Terrible, horrible things happen to good people who don't deserve it... *every day* ....and there isn't dammit you can do to stop all of it.
You can, however, lend a hand and console when you're able and *don't* contribute to misery when you're not.

I have been naked in hot springs watching the moon rise through a snow storm.
I have flown a DC-3.
I have camped on the White Sands Missle Test range.
I have been a roadie on a cross country tour, a pastry chef in Albuquerque, and re-built movie projectors.
I have cut an umbilical cord without passing out.

I was taken by true love...and then it let me go.

I have been set on fire with gasoline, been on the wrong side of the ice on the Lamoille river, and have been run over by an airplane.

I have driven blindfolded down the interstate, cartwheeled through a bonfire, and have been elbow deep in mercury.

I own a small business which specializes in odd and rare aircraft.
We import and export across the globe.
I have a son who is my partner in World Domination (or at least in the world of Playmobil, Legos, and Tonka).
We live in the northern part of Vermont (yes...it's goes to -40F and I still want to live here).
