RIP Tito

Just thought Id let you all know our puppy Tito got ran over on Friday afternoon. He passed away after about 5min. We had a little burial and funeral for him after.
He was in the backyard swimming in the pool with Devon and when they were coming in the backdoor Tito, dripping wet, slipped through his hands and around the garage to the busy street. The person who hit him didnt even stop. A semi driver was kind enough to stop and help us get him out of traffic.
The cop who came to the scene was the one who found Tito the 1 time before that he got loose. The cop even had tears in his eye because he knew what a good dog Tito was and had said before he wishes all people would raise their pitbulls loved and friendly like ours. Tito was spoiled with love and attention. It's not fair that people that treat these dogs wrong, abusing them and keep them locked up in hot garages get to keep theirs alive and our perfect beautiful dog had to go.
It's hard, we still cannot believe he is gone. Everytime we hear a nosie, we think it's Tito. So many memories in such a short time. From him jumping on our laps like he only weights a pound (he was a very healthy big boy standing taller than me when on his hind legs!), to covering us with kisses, to him snuggling watching movies with us turning his head sideways really watching the TV!
He LOVED to play fetch, and be outside running with us. He was a perfect boy in the car waiting patiently until we got to our destinations. He could sit, lay down, get down and come here. Also was learning alot like bark when told, shake, feet on my shoulders to dance, and more.
Everyone's 1st reaction when they see him was "Damn he's HUGE!" I dont know his exact weight, but he was a very VERY healthy strong boy, tall and thick. Biggest we have ever owned or seen in person.
We were so proud of him and loved to have him involved in everything we did. He only spent a couple hours a day home alone (when we were at work, which we work different shifts), which he ran the house himself without making messes. He was our guardian, our family, our friend, our laughs, and now our tears.
Well please give him a prayer out so he know we loved him.
