Ok, so follow up to this wonderful life of mine.. For those who don't know what's been happening the last six months, let me fill you in real quick.
Dad passed away back in 2015. Mom passed away back in September of 2017. I only have 1 sister, and she has been known to be a user, and has 2 boys... 8 & 9 years old. Oh! Also I live 1700 miles away from them.
Ok, so now we are all caught up on that.
On Monday, my sister had her left leg amputated. She is only 44 years old, due to diabetes (infection was literally eating her leg away). So she had to chose between life or limb, so she chose life... which is understandable.
Here is where it get's tricky. She is going thru a divorce, even though currently she is still in the hospital, he is taking the boys to school for her since she can't.
Her current living status... sucks. She can't move around in a wheelchair, in the house she has been living in. So.. here we go..these are our options currently:
A) She was offered a place to live by her ex-husband and his new wife, and they stated that they would help her, till the end... let her move in here?
B) Get information for her on HUD housing, so she can have a restful recovery, and for her future needs?
C) Offer for her to come stay with me temporarily, until she got back on her "feet" again (they are going to give her a prosthetic leg) |
