My 9yr old son is working on getting a game he wants for his ps3.
I have 3 things I want him to do each day in order to earn $1 toward it.
1)Get up,behave in the morning while getting ready for school
2) come home, do his hw (all written in agenda book) at a certain time
3)Bath/Eat/Bed all within a decent amount of time of course
I even give him 3 warnings before I take the day from the earnings
If he still persists in refusing,temper fits, stalling for a long time.
I will enforce the no earning $ for that day.
This seems to work better than anything else I have tried
Some ppl see it as more of a reward than a punishment for his behavior
I see it as positive reinforcement
So, is this method positive or negative in it's nature?
