Given the chance to get in on the escalating war of words being conducted on several fronts during Giants-Jets week, superstar cornerback Darrelle Revis chose to pass for the most part.On Wednesday, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz said that teams "aren't really backing down" from the three-time Pro Bowl cornerback and that "teams aren't really scared anymore" of throwing toward Revis. Fellow wideout Hakeem Nicks commented that Revis was a "decent corner," before later amending that to "great player."Thursday was Revis' first chance to respond."I don't even know who this guy is, really," Revis said.mulberry bagsDid he mean Cruz or Nicks?"Whoever said what," Revis said. "I'm not entertaining it. If I wanted to watch entertainment, I'd look at some reality shows or something, watch TV."As for Cruz, he declined further comment Thursday, saying, "I'm not talking about their players or nothing like that. I'm not trying to have my words twisted around." At one point, Revis laughed and said, "I mean, I'm not a monster. So why would anybody be scared? I don't know."There's really no point in me to sit here," he added, "and get in a jawing match with their receivers. There's no point. That's just how I look at it."When asked specifically about Cruz again, Revis responded, "Whatever he says, it's in one ear and out the other. The only time I remember this guy is (from) the preseason game. Other than that, I don't know the guy very well. Do I respect him as a player? Yeah, you respect everybody you play against. Like I said, you've got to line up and play." The Jets' trademark press coverage by Revis and Cromartie likely will be applied again Saturday. Coach Rex Ryan talked about how the Jets have funneled their coverage help away from Revis most of the time this year, mulberry saleleaving him one-on-one most of the time. But because Cruz often lines up in the slot, there's a good chance Revis likely will go up against Nicks most of the time, although he could get some one-on-one chances against Cruz. Revis concluded, "We know what type of game this (will be), an intense game. People are going to say what they want to say. We've been hearing it all week, the jawing back and forth. You expect that and you just go with it. mulberry bags for saleWhoever says what on both sides, we've got to go out there and play. That's the biggest thing, and that's how you should approach it."--Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress are looking forward to facing the Giants' secondary and their 29th-ranked passing defense. Of course, neither had a particularly terrific day at Philadelphia in a 45-19 loss. Burress had one catch, a 9-yard touchdown in garbage time, and Holmes lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown.Still, the two veteran wideouts remain as bold as their coach, trash-talking Rex Ryan.
