She looked okay
I couldn’t stop staring
We talked for awhile
He looked so fine
She kept staring at me and I wondered why
He wouldn’t look at me and I wondered why
She asked me how I was, and I told her about my new girlfriend
He asked me if I had a boyfriend, and I told him I didn’t
I pretended like I cared

She looked different than she used to
He looked better than ever
I gave her a friendly hug goodbye
We held each other one more time
And then I went surfing
