as dj's we all hold a certain responsibilty for the music and talk that goes on. on air and off and we all need to take the risk of being more political, social, and aware of everything that surrounds i am not saying just for my behalf but for the behalf of the listners who support us i think we owe to them to be responsible for what goes on in society today and talk about it
and when our kids have history of any kind in school wether it be american, black history tell em you want them to go beyond the books to teach because the system has failed us but don't let it fail your kids because without knowledge of the past there will be no future
i mean why is it when it comes to black history all we hear is martin luther king this and martin luther that yes he was a great man but they are so many more black leaders throughout history look at huey p newton, malcolm x, marcus garvey, european history halie selassie, napoleon bonaparte (maybe not best example but he stood up for what he believed in)
