Respect, what is respect?
The condition of being honored (esteemed or respected or well regarded);
An attitude of admiration,
An courteous expression (by word or deed) of esteem or regard;
A feeling of friendship and esteem;
Courteous regard for people's feelings.
I realize that people have many reasons for what they do. Sometimes unintentional sometimes intentional. Many would say they are having fun on here. Many would say they were having fun until someone was disrespectful or having fun at their expense.
It is very cool for people to talk about anything they like, that is one of our rights in this country. It isn't cool to be disrespectful to others. The sad thing is the disrespectful person is being disrespectful of them self as well. I often wonder why is it that so many males are disrespectful to women? Do they talk dirty to their Grandmothers, Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Wife, Daughters or Granddaughters?
Then why would they talk dirty to women they do not know? or is it they do not know what being respectful is. Talking to anyone in a disrespectful way is bad.
People can talk about anything they want. Wouldn't it be cool if they were considerate to others?
My ex-wife and I would talk dirty to each other at times, sometimes it was fun for both of us and unfortunately there were times it wasn't. I guess the key is between consenting people or being respectful.
It isn't rocket science. Respect others so you can respect yourself.
I have learned long time ago and try my best to do is keep this question in mind "What ever I do or say, how will effect the lives of others."
One of my beliefs is:
All life is sacred;
treat all beings with respect.
