| I have a daughter who is in the 5th grade her last year of having recess she will be in middle school next year. I belive children should be given a time to just relax without the worry of impressing teachers recess when I was in school was that time you could choose what you wanted to do with that time talk to your friends without getting in trouble laugh and just be a kid. this year the 5th grade teachers have taken the "recess" and changed it into a fitness time I do know that exercise is good for the children however I don't belive it should be forced on them. We were told all children are required and expected to participate for the full fitness recess I say let them play. I would even be willing to say half fitness half fun. Just seeking opinions on this. |
