We walk the narrow path, Beneath the smoking skies, Sometimes, barely tell the difference, Between darkness and light. Do we have faith, In what we believe? Shining brightly over the northern sky, Sits a star from our everyday lives. Always does it sit so high, Never budging for a dive. Brighter and brighter does it shine, Never fading is the northern star.

On the field afar, Much is to be seen. Over the course of our lives, We see much that we learn. All over the world, Time flies over us without care. Never do we take the time to sit, And just look around. Throughout the world we see, Much that hurts. We all take pain differently, Our minds interpreting differently. Lives change, Time flying never stopping.

Flying high into the world above, We see much into the light. Not many know the truest secret, To the human mind. We try to understand our life, To try and give it meaning. Human nature is evident, We create an almighty being, And tell all to shun any other. Those who disbelieve, Always need a superior being, Especially when their life's at stake. Forever true must we stay, Only to ourselves, For we must give life meaning, And this is the simplest truth.

In this cruel world, There are things good and bad. Lovers become friends, And friends become lovers. Life can be good to those who don't deserve it, And cruel to those who don't. In this cruel world, Life and love come in many shapes. A beautiful redhead perhaps, Or a newborn babe even so, As the world turns round, We age with experiences, Good and bad. Once in every person's life, They find the one they'll love forever, And many times do they meet otheres. Writing is a part of the soul, The fuel is the imagination, That bleeds onto the paper. Forever trusting who we are, Life is ours we live it our way. Many come and many go, But only one will stay with us.
