What are you waiting for?
So I am like every other member here. Go along with the rating and chat with a select few. I stopped by someone’s profile today and noticed that they have over 15,000 friends. An educated guess is that most on here and including this person, probably only talk to maybe 10 people on here closely. So I say that this online world we are in is just like life. We meet and even interact with many people. But who of them are your true friends? Not many I say. Who of them would you open up to? Tell them your real life..your past..who you really are. Yes..I am sure many on here are honest and I am not saying that people are different on here. I am saying that no matter how honest you say are, can you say that you don’t hold anything back? Doubtful. So being on here helps us practice the real world. We protect are selves to not letting too much out. We try to read and analyze people to see if they are “worthy” of knowing the real you. It is a game that we play dodging through the fakes.
Got a boomy? Godmode? Auto 11’s? Then all your “friends” stop by to get what they can from you. Wont see them again til you have something else they need from you. Sound familiar? Does that happen in real life? Yup! So called friends in life use you as well. Quite often even. Reality is that you probably let it happen. It’s easier than telling them to go away. Maybe it’s also because sometimes its nice to feel needed.
Now a big issue I see on here is the members that basically hurt the rest that want to be real. Maybe it’s the guys that jump in a woman’s shoutbox and say all the nasty things to them they wouldn’t have the balls to say in real life face to face. Don’t those same woman have a guard up if any other man tries to say hello? They are waiting for that man to become crude. Or might not even get the chance to prove that they are different. So I will use me in this example now. I am divorced. Of course it is simple to determine that my marriage wasn’t pleasant to end in divorce. So meeting a woman now has my guard up. Waiting for it to go bad. That is what life and events have shown me.
Online world versus real world, I say is a tie. Both can be as real as we want them to be or as fake as we make them to be. It is all a part of the game we are playing. Granted it has seemed lately when it is my turn to throw the dice, snake eyes is the result of my roll. But I roll again and again when my turn comes. I think there can be a couple good friends. I understand the protective nature that everyone through life has learned to build. But I think there should be a way to at least look over that wall and see that not everyone is your true enemy. Can there be to many “real” friends? I don’t know. Probably never will.
