Today a wonderful person who is in my family has auto 11's on and it would be great if you could go to his page and show him all the love that you can give to him. So i'm sitting here bored out of my skull on Halloween, or Samhain, whichever way that you celebrate it..and i am remembering how much fun i had as a child on this night, dressing up in my costume (which i would have ready at LEAST a month ahead of time) and going around the neighborhood and collecting massive amounts of candy that my friends and i would eat far into the rest of the night and giggling about the stupidest stuff... But now as an adult with a child of my own, it seems so commercialized..we took him trick-or-treating at the mall..and barely anyone paid attention to the costume that i lovingly sewed for the past week..they just threw some candy into the bag and looked at their watches, wondering when their shift was over... Is it just me, or has everyone taken the little things such as Halloween, Christmas, Fourth of July, or any other little milestones that we celebrate with our children for granted?? Take the election..it's just a matter of a media circus thrown together (badly) with mudslinging, and bad decisions..our country is fincially going down the tubes and our candidates are going to promise to get us out of the hole, but yet, how many polititions have we heard THAT from before... Who knows..maybe i'm getting jaded in my old age..or maybe i just want to be a kid again and race down the street in my witch costume with nary a care in the world....
