"Passion's Arrow"
A curious arrow
Spirals through a chaotic forest;
Grazing the surface of a few,
But piercing the heart of a deer.
As it travels through
Coming to rest inside a doe.
The forceful arrow
Almost seems to calm; for a moment;
Until the intense anguish begins to blind the victims.
The wide-eyed deer and whimsical doe,
Find each other through the arrow’s connection,
The tracks of their lives, forever crossed.
The once intense arrow
Has lost its power when it started to be overcome.
The deer and the doe – cured;
When the arrow began to fade.
But they will always be connected,
The scars of an arrow can never be abandoned.
