Kloey's blog: "Operation: Hooah!"

created on 11/30/2006  |  http://fubar.com/operation-hooah/b29952

Random Notes.

A small introduction may help. I'm not making these up as I go along. I'll add a few of my previous posts before I start writing new posts. The great thing about Hooah is that it's always positive, no matter how tired I am or how unsuccessful I feel. If it starts snaking into my brain that I'm not going to make it, I spit out a Hooah or two and I just hop to it. Well, maybe I don't hop, but I do manage to get it done. And that's Hooah! ------------------------------ So, life has been hitting fairly hard lately. Sometimes, I feel like a shadow of myself, not quite there, but not really gone... A strange sensation, to say the least. Instead of yielding to the urge to sit on the side of the road, I continue on my way. I start out walking, then I begin to jog. Next, I break into a run. When I can no longer run, I jog. When I can no longer jog, I walk. I remind myself that as long as I keep on stepping, regardless of pace, I will eventually arrive at my destination. And that is Hooah! -------------------------- Afternoon, folks! I'm extremely excited! Today is my day off from all of my work and worries. Strangely enough, I didn't consider my fitness routines and whatnot to be work and so I'm going strong today! Life has been extremely hectic and to be honest, I've slipped a few times here and there. However, the Hooah of the story is that I didn't wallow in the mud. I pulled myself back up and continued to take steps! This is going to be such a long journey, but just think of all the sights I'll get to see! I've discovered muscles long forgotten and stumbled over strength that was in hiding! Breathing is so easy these days, even while I'm running around, taking the steps two at a time, loaded down with however many bags of groceries and staples. I haven't seen much difference in pounds, but I'm losing inches and gaining tone and definition! I'm just two shades of thrilled. My doctor is super impressed with the decrease in body fat and the increase in muscle mass, as well as boosted cardiovascular strides I've made! I'm so thrilled that I have purchased the Turbo Jam set and I can't wait to incorporate the kickboxing into my daily time to sweat! Who knew working my bottom off would actually become a time of fun and rest for me? Amazingly enough, I use my exercise time as a time of rest from the hassles and demands of life. I'm not being very articulate, I suppose, but I don't care. Life is grand. I mean, sure, it's rough and balls are being tossed with an incredible speed, but the air is sweet and God is good! When my Turbo Jam gets in, I'm going to be letting you know just how much sweat I manage to sweat. I know, I know. Sweat is disgusting, but it's also good stuff! It means I'm doing something! I don't use soreness as a means to judge and so I use sweat, breathing, inches, strength, definition, and pounds to measure. So, yay! Today is Hooah and so are you!
