Cheeky Redhead's blog: "questionable"

I still don't understand the world today, the motto seems to have been perfected to "It's all about me!"  To achieve this you first have to award yourself your self-appointed degree in judging others, their intentions, motives, thoughts and social status.  Just when you believe we grow out of these thoughts, I've been proven wrong.  Does anyone really believe in true (real) love anymore or is it all superficial - go through the motions because we're too busy in our lives to slow down and appreciate simple things.   People still go out of their way to make others look bad to make them feel good about themselves or to gain "acceptance" from the shallow people in their lives.  Is the thought process that maybe if we bring out the weaknesses/faults of others we can justify or better yet overlook and hide our own so that we don't have to face ourselves on that level?  What are we teaching our kids, how did we learn it if we weren't raised this way, and why are we surprised or disappointed in how our kids handle stressful situations or emotions when they are so much like us.  Still yet people seem to go out of their way to punish and hurt others, just to punish themselves.   Walk away from or push good things/people away because inside we don't feel we deserved them, or just seeing a good thing/person makes us feel like more of a bad person I guess.  Do feelings of the heart have real value these days other than to sabotage true feelings or are they even real?  Why are we so important to ourselves and yet in the shadows often have feelings of inadequacy?  Some just need to get over the fact that we have problems (EVERYBODY DOES!!!), they don't have to define who we are nor control us, we're still able to have/make choices aren't we.  Don't blame others, somewhere along the line you made a choice.  The other side of this are the friends and sometimes family who want to tell us whats wrong with us or how to live our lives.  More often than not, focusing their attention on our problems or lives to keep from having to face their own.
