Prison
Another day of loneliness
Living on borrowed time
Freedom seems so far away
Inside a distorted mind
I watch my happiness fade
The glow in my eyes have died
Watching the wrinkles form
Because I can not cry
Waterfalls of tears have fallen
But no promises are made here
All truth is smashed and broken
To all that was held so dear
A heart left sagging
Like a flower plucked from its stem
Closing out all memories
That reminds me of him
I must not hold on to anything
I have to feel as if it’s all dead
For my time here will never end
And the nightmare will continue inside my head
