Lying awake from a fitful dream.
Your mind in turmoil, plotting a scheme.
Eyes darting around the room.
Is there a silver lining around your moon?
Lying there with feelings of dread.
Sometime you just wish you were dead.
Tossing and turning, get back to sleep.
All you can do is lay there and weep.
Bolt up right, it’s the morning light.
The day comes a little too bright.
Slide from the bed to begin your day.
Why won’t the world go away?
Place the mask upon your face.
Step out into the world and take your place.
