My 14 yr daughter think s preppie means being good in school..being apart of a school sport...or making good grades... Back in my day Preppie meant the clothes n shoes u wore and the crowd u could hang around? Am I that old i do not no what preppie means?
When i went to school... i was known as a grit..cause i didnt have the clothes to wear or shoes to wear. Actually I had 2 outfits to wear.
My daughter (whos 14) made straight A thru grade school.. she cheered..she sanged...as soon as she hit Jr High it all changed. She gave it all up saying she was being "preppie". She will not make good grades or do the extras beauty pagenats...chearlaeading or anything of the sort. But wants these name brand clothes. Back in my day preppie was the name brand clothes. Had nothing to do with what ya did with school or what kind of grades ya made.
