what happened to american politics? What happened to democracy and equal repesentation?
I think that's a trick question. George washington warned against partisanship. He said it would tear the country apart, and it's doing a pretty good job. One party has almost all of the media under it's control, and it's been spewing lies for the last five or so years. Do you guys want to know why our economy is so bad? Is it because of bush? hell no, the president has very little power over something like that. a huge part of it was this whole fannie mae, freddie mac jargon. It was the democrats who thought of it. Economists (or whatever they're called) from the bush admin. warned the dems about how it would screw us up. But they didn't listen. and now these idiots, who thought it a good idea to loan extremely large amounts of money to people who could never pay it, are blaming bush and the republicans for their own stupid-ass mistakes. You can't blame every problem on a president.
Take Katrina for example, this was a natural disaster. The Lousiana Stat Government should have had capable levees, but they didn't, in fact the levees they had were way too weak. People want to try and blame bush saying he didn't care enough or some shit, if he didn't care, why would he send billions, lemme repeat that, BILLIONS of dollars down there to help people out? You want to know what happened to that money? Why no one ever saw it? because the idiot governor and her minions blew it all on gambling and other frivolities. The State government wasted federal government money and then turned around and said that they never got any money, and that they were being neglected. A hurricane is a state government problem, not a federal government problem.
People should stop relying so much on the government. that leaves the spot for it to become totally corrupt and end up a dictatorship.
