Eye's fixed on the star lit sky, i gaze past the moon the night so clear i can see the next galaxy. caught in the bliss of silence thoughts of another day gone, the count down to a new sunrise has begun. the next few hours are the most peacefull on earth, as i focus on the brightest star i can find with closed eye's i wish upon that star in hope of a new tomorrow. if i concentrate hard maybe the wish will ride the wind to carry my words to another place in time, maybe the wish will be heard by the one who can grant what i ask. if my words fall on deaf ears it will not matter none of my dreams have come true, even so i still look in the sky and dream away it give's my mind a much needed break to rest my spirit. if i could fly i would reach as close to this star as possible hoping to find the wish still alive carring across the atmosphere living for eternity, but i know there will be no flight my wings are strapped tight not allowed to spread wide and glide thru the sky, so i must be content to sit here wishing on this star. I dream from the corner of my eye i catch the movement of dark clouds drifting by with an erie glow of the moon, this must mean the dawn will arrive soon. how these hours move by way to fast i only need a little more time to see if my wish is granted, as usual same old story just a little more time is what we all want, more time to enjoy the pleasure of choice, seems when we find these things in life there is never enough time to do what we love. time has a way of slipping away to fast if you blink you will miss the ocean. the more years pass the faster the time escapes, young soon turns old but when i'm one with the stars for that moment time stands still all thoughts frozen in place, a chance to look close at the person you are. if only i could sit atop the moon i wonder how the earth would look frozen in time, a quick glance in my past i would take to try and understand why things are now what they have become. even if this were possible not a thing would it change so alone with my dreams and the stars i will remain, till the sunrise above the tree tops i see then off to another day i must be. when the moon is full another sky filled of stars again i will close my eyes to wish and dream once more, with faith in my heart one day all i wish will come true.
