A rose that was slowly wilting away,
Pedals that fluttered to the floor,
The radiant ray slowly went astray,
Anguish that penetrated to the core.
Deprived from water to live,
Slowly becoming nothing,
Nothing left to give,
The beautiful fragrance that once was pulsating,
When the last thorn wilt,
Suddenly something began to flourish,
Things unknown begun to shift,
Slowly the rose is nourish,
The hand of a lover,
A single red rose,
Love to fully savor,
By love it rose,
Touched by this daily,
Thorns become vibrant,
You made me lovely,
Ray can’t be silent,
Without you I’m nothing,
With you I’m everything,
Depart from you I’m crying,
With you I’m shining,
I am the rose,
You are the lover,
You are my water,
You are my life.

Life isn't always what it seems to be,
A reason to live isn't always easy to see,
Some don't see what other's go through,
Would you like to trade them shoes?
To go through someone's life to see for yourself,
What do you see; is it pleasent or do you want help?
Are you experiencing an unknown pain?
When you thought all your problems were insane,
Did you ever come to think someone else was hurting?
Ever try looking in their eye's of understanding?
How is it standing in the cold holding a sign?
Before you were sitting in a warm home,
To fight to get a mere slice of bread to eat,
When you had a homemade plate but to picky to eat?
Fight tears back wishing the voices would go away,
Instead you cry because you didn't get your way,
Life isn't the same for everyone,
Have you ever sat down to comprehend someone else's life?
You might realize how lucky you are in life,
Never judge someone's life without understanding your own.

Darkness engulfs me,
No light to be seen,
No sense of reason to be,
Craving for death like a feign,

You left with no notice,
Taking my heart with you,
My picture on life is out of focus,
The words it will get easier becomes more untrue.

Some say it was for the best,
Some say it seems so cruel,
I sit at the place you lay at rest,
Anger rises inside me like a fuel.

They say God has a reason for everything,
That he don't place more on us than we can handle,
Then why can't I bare this suffering?
Why does tears flow down like water from a ladle?

He was wanting a family,
He was straighting his life up so fast,
God who we cry upon faithly,
Gripped all his dreams and shattered them in a grasp.

All I know,
and all I can say,
this is the pain that has been sowed,
If I can keep faith; save me a spot beside you for that day.

Night's go by with tear soaked pillows,
Wanting nothing more than to know why,
Never experianced such a sorrow,
I begged God answer me why you had to die.

Doesn't he understand you were my protector?
Doesn't he understand you kept me going?
Doesn't he understand you were my only brother?
Nothing I can do to stop these tears from flowing.

You were straightening up your life,
You told me you were ready to start a family,
You've made it through so much strife,
Then everything was ripped out of grasp suddenly.

Did I ever tell you how much I love you?
Did I ever once tell you how proud I was of you?
Did I ever mention on how much I looked up to you?
And did I ever mention how I would have given up if it wasn't for you?

Down deep I know you're in a better place,
I also know I'll never be able to hug you,
That I'll never see your smile on your face,
But all I want you to know bubby is that I'll always miss, and love you.
