When the shadows fall upon us
When darkness is drawing neigh
I’ll hold you close My Darling
Through the long, long hours of night
I’ll chase away the cold of doubt
I’ll warm you with my love
Until never again you’ll wonder
If mine’s a true and lasting love
Together we will fly so high
Exploding into ebony skies
As passions flame burns brilliantly
Brighter then stars My Love
Sliding once more back to earth
On the rays of the silvery moon
We’ll rest together in peaceful sleep
As lovers so often do
