“Vampire’s Kiss” Copywrite 2001
I licked my lips and pressed them onto her wrist. I could feel the tooth marks from where I’d just been and underneath, the slow, warm, pulsing of her vein. I held her arm to my mouth and ran my bottom lip over her skin and she uttered a sound~almost a cry. I wasn’t sure if it was some kind of cry for help, or of submissive ecstasy, or a little bit of both. I looked at her face and she was a stunning vision. Rose petal eyelids closed softly and her beautiful lips parted slightly into the shape of a heart. It was the kind of relaxation you really only see when a child’s asleep. Total trust and sheer abandon. It was at that point, the only vision I had was to pierce her flesh and taste the metallic, salty richness of her coursing blood. That moment in time that we were sharing….stopped. It was the kind of beauty you can’t even wrap your brain around. The only way you feel to comprehend the emotion is to drink it in…make it part of you…to live in you. But I didn’t, and I couldn’t, not without her blessing. I could never hurt something so beautiful. That was one of the most tender, loving moments that I can remember. I watched her sigh and felt her other hand slip up my leg and I withdrew my fangs. I smelled the sweet smell of sandalwood, rain and incense and I held her hand now to my cheek. How could I ever let her know that, for her, I would drink deep without fear. That if she opened her eyes and offered me her veins, I would undoubtedly do the same.
