God Gave Me An Angel
God gave me an angel right here on earth,
He taught me my values and gave me self worth,
He guided me through life with his wisdom, God's light,
He steered me from wrong, and lead me toward right.
He stood by my side when things were rough,
He taught me in bad times we need to be tough.
He was always there when I needed him throughout all my years,
He laughed with me in happy times, and comforted my tears.
My angel on earth was sent from above,
God paid him not in wages, but with eternal love.
He was my confidante, my rock, my protector,
Then God decided his job was through, We all cried sitting on the pew
He need not a halo, or silver wings of grace,
For the glory of God's love shines upon his face.
My Guardian angel can be replaced by no other,
He was gods gift to me - I call him my father.
