Pizza Fondue
2 T. butter
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (10 1/2 oz., ea.) or 3 (8 oz. ea.) cans pizza sauce
1 T. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
10 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
10 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Cubed French bread
In large heavy skillet or fondue pot, melt butter; add beef and onions
and cook until browned. Pour off excess fat and discard. Reduce heat and
add pizza sauce, cornstarch, fennel seeds, oregano and garlic powder;
stir until thickened. Add cheeses and simmer, stirring frequently, 10
minutes. Serve with French bread cubes. Makes about 1 Quart fondue.
