I don't understand what kind of morbid excitment people get from degrading others. I hear it everyday about someone, somewhere. No person walking this earth can tell anyone what the value of their life is, let alone have the right to tell a person they are worthless. Maybe people should take more time to get to know others and stop being so self-absorbed and open their eyes to what is going on around them. On the other hand, the people who degrade others are usually the ones who are not happy with their own choices and their own life. I really don't care if someone is talking about me, the way I see it, if they are talking about me, they are giving someone else a break. I am a firefighter, I love my job and I have no regrets to my life. The mistakes I have made in the past are in the past and can't be changed, so why worry about them. I guess what I am trying to say is, I would like to see people use the head on their shoulders if nothing more than once in their life. I talk to people about their problems daily and everyday, someone has be told their worthless, they have someone trying to start trouble in their lives, or someone is just trying to hurt them. I just hope that the people who do the hurting, get the same done to them.
