it's been almost a month since i haven't worked. doctor gave me the sick leave due to some strange headaches i was suffering. i was feeling bad since two or three months before but it wasn't that hard to get along with. but last month it was a total torture so i decided to go to the doctor. i was more worried than any other thing. it's not the same if you have a broken arm or your tummy hurts. this was something wrong in my head and it didn't allow me to have a normal life. work, hang around with friends, dinner with my gf, party... all the normal and fun activities in life became a physical and psycholigical torture to me. so i was really thinking i had a serious trouble of health.
they gave me pills and more pills. nolotil, ibuprofen, imigran, dogmatil, naproxen, diazepam...
none of those pills had a good result on my headaches and sickness feelings.
finally i went to a neurologyst, he said i've been suffering from chronic tensional headache, and it's caused by physic and psychic factors like working, stress, depression, bad habits... it happens when the muscles of your neck and around your head get in tension and that causes the pain.
it was kinda a relief cause i was very worried that i could have a serious problem, it's not normal that your head aches every day at every hour, but he told me to not worry, time and medicines will relieve and all i have to do is to be patient and take it as easy as i can. he gave me the drugs and now i'm waiting for an scanner to check my head but he said that probably the results will be normal.
so here am i, at home, not working, going out just a few hours a day, driving my gf crazy, and waiting for the moment i can take up my life again.
i dunno if any of you have the same problem as me, but if you do, be patient, don't worry too much about it and let time and doctors do their job.
