It's been a bad day — Friday, May 25, 2007
It's been a bad day, not just for me, but many of the people I know too. So that kinda sux. I think that there should be parenting licenses. If people don't have one, or don't get enrolled in a class to get one in a reasonable amount of time, they shouldn't be able to retain custody of their children. People don't get rights over others simply by forcing them to exist. Due to the extensive research that's been done, and the studied results of it, and the things it showed; there seems to be a best sort of way to raise children. Children deserve that way. If people aren't raising their children in a way that is shown to produce positive results, they should be told how to.
There's this weird social stigma about telling people how to raise " their own children. " Children can't be owned, they are fucking human beings!!!!!!! People who think in that context have issues from the beginning. People need advice and training. Parenting is probably one of the hardest, most complicated things people ever do. About no one is perfect. And that's why people not only have the right, but obligation to provide insight to others about parenting. People need to ge over the thinking about their child as a possesion. " their child " is a human being that they are obligated to take care of, and help grow in the best way possible, because they happened to force it to exist. They are obligated to seek the best way to do this, and to constantly find, and listen to ways to improve, no matter how good they think they are. Because why? No one is perfect. Simply criticizing, and giving them ways to better do things in some way, isn't saying they are bad horrible people, It's just saying, " You can do better, and you are obligayted to do better. "
The reason I'm writing this, isn't from dealing with someone who could simply do better. He really is a piece of shit, should not be able to have custody of children. He shouldn't be able to be around women either, due to his abusive and controlling behavior. It's one of those things where it would do more bad than good in the long run if I killed him, or simply ripped his arms and legs off so he couldn't harm anyone. I'd end up going to prision, and wouldn't be able to do much good in the world afterwards. But if he died, or some wonderfull accident happend to him that left him without his limbs, I'd certainly throw a party.
