Okay time for me to go on a little rant. I consider myself to be a pretty good judge of character and always have lots of good friends in real life. I've made some good friends up here on fubar. I'm pretty healthy and avoid all of the drama and don't come off as psycho nor do I associate with people who are psycho. I believe in honesty and good friendships above all else. If you're good friends on here you should be good friends in real life. Recently, however, I've had two friends, one of them very close just up and vanish from here. No explanations no nothing. I don't live too far from the one and have their number, but I believe that if they were as good of friends as they thought they were they would have left word, however they didn't. Just POOF. This happened again today and I am really starting to wonder about the quality of who's up here. Good friends just don't up and vanish like that, no phone call, no email, no msg. Anyhow, so would love to see comments. What's the deal? Anybody? Stay tuned.....related mumm to follow.

Man, I've been getting a lot of questions and my shoutbox is constantly full about me dressing in drag for charity. Here's the scoop. Every year, our community has a Male beauty pageant and this year was no exception. This event was to raise money for our local Boys and Girls Club. 3 years of me and my organization sponsoring "women" wasn't enough. This year they wanted me to do it as well. Well, I'm a sucker for a good charity so after much persuading, I did it. I'm comfortable and confident with who I am, we had a lot of fun, the crowd loved it, and most of all the children benefited from it. Our female employees did all the make up and choreograph work, I just had to wear it and do the dance. If you're all lucky, I may just post my comical dance in my stash for all of you to see. The song....Deana Carter's "I Shaved My Legs For This." Too funny (no I didn't pick it).

Leave it to me....let murphy's law prevail. The batteries had died on my camera on my last hike, so I made it s priority to pick up some new batteries at Radio Shack on my way out of town. Well, I figured I'd gotten a pretty late start and had to go into the office for a few hours so I'll just load the camera when I'm at the trailhead. So driving up a small barely a road called Palookaville Trail, I round the corner and there in the middle of the road sits a 350-400 lb grizzly bear. Not the largest I've seen but closest I've been to one in about 20 years. 8 feet to be exact. Well, all the windows are rolled down and the dog is going nuts barking at this big furry creature while I am feverishly scrounging for the camera and the batteries to put in it. I get the batteries in it and now the bear is about 25-30 yards away. So much for the great picture opportunity. Anyhow, I managed to get about 6 or so shots off, but some were while the bear was at a full run about 40 MPH after he determined that me, my dog, and my car were a threat to him. I've posted the pics for all to see. 8/24/08 for the date. I also saw a wolf on this venture but was unable to get a picture of him. I guess they're a little more evasive and a lot quicker than the bears. Check out the Grizzly Country album for pics. I love the outdoors. Just a few hours from work and I am in God's country.

Woohoo...back from Bama....hot and sticky down there! I can stand the heat...but...the humidity??

Hey all, just a quick note to let all of you know I'm still around just have been busier than a three-weenie'd billy goat!! (not with the female goats either).
