I am not one to out my personal life, but seeking through family and friends no one has the answers for me. Little background. I had a set of twins, my daughter was killed by a drunken driver @ 17 and then her twin brother a month later commited suicide from the loss of his sister. That took a big strain on me and the other kids. Here is my dilema. My duaghter (18) has been dating this boy on and off since 10th grade. Saturday he was killed in a car accident and she is spinning out of control. Drinking, drugs and not returning home. She is 18 and not alot I can do but this last week she has just been very distant and out of control. Hasn't been to school either.
I really would like some suggestions to get her back to where she was and help her accept this. So my question is what can I do seeing she is 18 and very head strong. I call her she won't answer, but will reply to text but very short answers. Won't tell me where she is or who with. The funeral is tomorrow for him.
A: Let her make her own mistakes, but be there when she is ready to need me.
