As many of you know and have noticed, I have a gift in the gift shop. Not too many know, but this gift has a very heartfelt meaning to me.
My mother loved butterflies and the color blue. Everywhere you looked in my house there was something that had a butterfly meaning. Whether it was magnets on the fridge, bed sheets, or an artificial tree branch with butterflies scattered on it, there was always a butterfly somewhere. My mother passed away in 1993.
I feel this gift is a wonderful way to honor her memory with something that she loved so much. It brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye to see so many coming to me saying how much they love the gift and that it reminds them of something special to them.
I wanted to write this blog so that everyone can see how a simple butterfly pin can have so much significance on my decision.
