Happy Monday morning my fellow fubarians. Today I present you with another mumm from you favorite (or loathed) half cuban,fully pudgy and semi opaque internet pal, Annelid.
Times have sure changed since my parents 1st dated. Back then there was singles mixers (which I'm sure there still is), dances, mothers in full matchmaking mode (oh matchmaker matchmaker make me a match,catch me a catch and so on). I admit I've been to a singles meet n greet. After spending a hr or so I wanted to sell all my worldly possessions and becoming a monk somewhere (i.e. run away...run awayyyyy !).
Now with the powers of the internet (thanks Mr.Gore...this and carbon credit make me who I am today...eshh)for reaching out and meeting people.
So since "Fubar" is a "social networking site", is it really possible to meet someone online?
I mean your only "seeing" a cute little 1" by 1" photo of someone and if your lucky the about me section doesn't have a music player embedded.
Is it odd to meet someone online? Or should someone go via the traditional routes...bookstores,coffee shops,via guido the killer pimp or maybe through a co-worker?
Is online dating or mixing the new thing? And has there been any success stories of 2 fubar members falling in love (and not with them selves, narcissistic fu people need not apply).
