A walk through of the home
You see sheets layered with dust
Covering everything
You would not think
When was the last time
Someone sat next to another person
On the sofa
Held their hand
took that person in their arms
it would not occur to you to think of it or even ask
So
You wouldn't would you...
it used to announce on screen "someone just walked through the door"
Back when I used
to laugh because
That this meant logging in to a system
A screen.
I'm sorry to let you know but for a day I let myself go like this

But my form in present is the same
Pictures are recent
I just make sure nothing changes
Keeping an account of how much I can gain and still lose.
Just enough so that someone could catch me
If I lost control and fell on the walk.
I keep my body in shape
by what I choose to eat or do not eat
maintaining a form to be touched
Even though it has not been touched in years.
Would I want to be touched?
