Current Event(9-11)
Its the 5th anniversary of the September 11th, terrorist attacks, and tonight at 9:00 Mr.George Bush the President of the United States will be giving a speech about how this attack on the United States changed us all. The one thing everybody is asking "Where were you on 9/11"? Well i was not at school like people were i was actually at a wedding in New York City like 25 blocks down from the World Trade Center(Twin Towers),but the horrible this is that i had family members in the North and South tower. This is the worst day of my life one that i more definitely will never forget about that forever. I just wish that most of the kids in the United States would understand what all of the Victims families are going through. If only our school would do a memorial service for 9/11 or at least just a moment or two of silence and maybe even a prayer. "Moment of Silence"< I know that's not part of the Current even but i really needed to do that its just really emotional time for me and the other victims families. God Bless all of you, God Bless the firefighters, that died in the tragic even, and God Bless the soldiers that are in Iraq Fighting over this tragic even in America.
Current Event Part 2: On the "War on Terror"
The Speech of President Bush was excellent. I definitely agree with everything he says. He said and I quote "its is a struggle for civilization. We are fighting to maintain the way of life enjoyed by free nation". He explains to the US that we are on a difficult road, and that if we win the war we would be known as a unified country and that we should put our differences aside. Right now or so he says that the enemy that we face today is determined to bring suffering and maybe even death into our lives. He's right America did not ask for this war. We don't deserve to have to fight this war.
Current Even Part 3: On The Middle East
He's talking about the good and decent people will start a new society based on freedom, tolerance and personal dinity. And that we are enlisting the powerful force. Well i do disagree with all of the people he have enlisted to iraq, that's a bunch of bull i think he should go over there and see how it is or how it feels that's just my opinion. And enlisting people to Iraq doesn't make them feel free it makes them feel like they are in one big Jail cell.
Current Event Part 4: On Iraq
No. Saddam didn't Have the full responsibility with 9/11 but he did have some connection with people who hijacked the airplanes. Why are we training the Iraqis to defend their nation? Well if they don't know how to defend their nation they they don't need to defend their nation. We are over there to destroy their Iraqis unity government not to help them strengthen.
Current Event Part 5: On Bin Laden
Well we would have found Bin Laden and brought to justice if those reporters would tell us where he's located.
Current Event Part 6: Agreement and Disagreement
I agree on pretty much everything spoke about in his rare adress to the nation, to mark the five-year Anniversary of the Attack of September 11th, 2001. I disagree because when he mentioned that "We are enlisting the most powerful force for peace and moderation". That's not true the only reason he is enlisting that many people is so they can go fight his war for him. He is to scared to do it himself. I think Bush needs to get out of the White House for a week or more to go to Iraq, Kuwait, Iran, Baghdad, and Afaganistan. To find out what our soldiers have to go through and let at least five or ten of the soldiers take a brake and have President Bush needs to find Osama Bin Laden that's all that really needs to be done i mean come on why are we in Iraq Firghting there is no point in it. Do we even have a reason to why we are fighting. Even if we did its probably a lame excuse to why, its probably because George Bush wants to put our soldiers into danger but oh well if he thinks its cool to lose 1/4 of our men and women fin then he can have it his way.
