One of the mysteries of life is relationship. Since it exists between two persons it depends on both. Whenever two persons meet a new world is created, just by their meeting a new phenomenon comes into existence. One which was not before, and thru that phenomenon both persons are changed and transformed. Unrelated you are one thing, related you immediately become someone else.
In the beginning when you touch the person from without, when boundaries meet, you become acquaintances. If the relationship becomes closer, becomes deeper, grows intimate then centers start meeting. When centers merge, it is love! Acquaintance is not love, this is fallacy, love is very rare.
To meet one at their center you have to allow that one to reach your center also, you will have to become vulnerable, absolutely vulnerable, totally open. It's risky, to allow someone to reach your center for you never know what that person will do to you. Once all your secrets are known, once that which you have hidden is revealed once you are exposed completely, what the other person will do you never know. You can allow one into your center only when you are not afraid, not fearful.
So, there are two ways to live, one is fear oriented, the other is faith oriented. Fear oriented living can never lead you into a deep relationship, you cannot allow the other to penetrate to your core, you do not open and reveal your heart. The fear oriented one is a materialist, constantly hiding, constantly clinging, constantly closed. Faith oriented living is spontaneous, exuberant, joyful and playful and produces loving relationships. The faith oriented one is not afraid of the future, lives here and now, freely receives and freely gives, is a wisdom filled spiritualist.
When you allow one into your heart, trust is created. When you are not afraid, the other becomes fearless, fear is just a false conception given by a society believing that you have to compete, that you have to protect yourself, that you constantly have to be in a fighting mood, that everybody is an enemy, that everything is against you. In reality, there is nothing to fear. This has to be realized before a real relationship can occur.
There is nothing to fear. Fear also produces a clinging attitude towards possessions and people. Yet everything you have will be taken away, so before it is taken away why not share it? If you give and share then you are in control for you determine its destiny. So freely give before anything can be taken from you by entropy and death.
If something is given freely it becomes priceless, it becomes eternal, untouched by death it bears fruit continuously. If something is clung to it loses all value, entropy encroaches and it dies barren. So beloved, have faith, open your heart, freely receive, freely give, enjoy life!!!
