I guess I was not accepted for who I am...
The gentleman that I spoke of...went silent. Will not even respond to my IMs.
My apt is barren, hardly no furniture, couple of couches that are thrift store, tv is borrowed, and a bed that was a hand-me-down for when we moved in, essentials in the kitchen. Nothing on the walls, (Plaster walls--old apt), wear Wal-mart type clothing or thrift store clothing(after it is thoroughly washed) because it is all I can afford. The clothes are nice..not tattered or stained...jsut cheap! Bed linens are also 'given' as well as towels and wash cloths, hardwood floors are bare.
Jerry's kids' set this place up for us so we would not have to worry about the small stuff for the first several months we were here.
Yet, I am honest, clean, have a sense of humor, and wear no make up, as I tell all who ask and is usually in my profile.
Would you accept me...for who I am...or shun me because I do not have the material things others have?
