New Job and New Hair Color

I am trying to get a new job and I need to color my hair (to cover my silver streaks) I had a really vibrant pinkish red at previous job and have been trying to tame it down. Should I go back to original which is darker red almost like a burgandy undertone or darker to make sure to cover all the "funky" colors up til I get a new job.
