Today, I went to take myself to the movies at the movie theater for the first time. I have never gone alone before. People have told me that going to movies alone isn't a bad thing. I was used to going with my ex or friends but I had no one to go with and I wanted to do something outside of the house.

So, I go to the movies. It was pretty empty, not many people in there. Then this guy, asked if he could sit near me. I told him it was fine. He sat a seat away from me. I was fine by that. Sometime during the movie, he changed his seat and sat next to me. That made me a little uncomfortable but didn't think too much of it. Just thought since I was in the middle of the theater, maybe he wanted a better view of the movie.

I had moved my drink that was near his seat so that he wouldn't take my drink on accident, if he did...he had his own drink. He tried talking to me during the movie and I would say something short to him but kept my eye on the movie. From the corner of my eye, I could see him looking at me. He would move around in his seat so that his elbow would be touching my arm and sometimes his leg would go against mine. I moved my body a little so that he couldn't touch me.

He then asked if he could move the chair arm, drink holder....cause in this theater you can move them out of your way. I told him it was fine. So he did that and watched the movie. Then he kept inching his way closer to me. I started to get really uncomfortable but I didn't leave. I wasn't too sure what to do.

He asked me what I was doing after the movie and I said I didn't know. He asked if I wanted to see another movie with him afterward. I told him, "not really" Then he started to position himself to where his elbow would be bumping into my chest. He did some stupid move where he would pretend to scratch at his elbow and his hand brushed against my chest. I inched away from him and he said "sorry, didn't mean to"

I barely paid much attention to the movie that I came to see because I was worried what he was going to do. He placed his hand on MY leg and I moved my leg away and he said sorry and asked he could hold my hand. I said "no" At that point, I started to freak out...so I pretended that I had a phone call and told him that I had to leave for a moment...so I got up and went to the door of the theater room and pretended to talk on the phone.

In my mind, I was tempted to leave the movie theater because I didn't want him to follow me if he did. So while I was pretending to talk on the phone....I saw him come up to me. I can't believe he followed me!!! He asked if I was sure that I didn't want to see a movie with him, I told him no. I saw him leave the theater..and the movie wasn't even over yet. So I went back to my seat to finish the movie. It was pretty much over.

So I get up and leave...I looked around to make sure he wasn't around. When I got into the main lobby, he was there, eyeing me. I was so afraid....he walked past me, eyeing me and I rushed to my car, looking back to make sure he wasn't following me. I drove to my nearest friends house and stayed there for a while. Every turn I made going to my friends house, I made sure he wasn't there.

I didn't know what to do....I just wanted out of there. I probably should of said something to the people at the theater, but my first reaction was get out of there!!!

I didn't get a good look at him....I just remember he was some white guy, in his late thirties. I don't remember his face much or the clothes he wore.

I will NEVER go to the theaters alone again...not after that.....

When I went to my friends house, I had told her what happened and we looked online to see where I could get some pepper spray or something..... I was just so grossed out, uncomfortable and freaked out.
