Beautiful. Hot. Sexy. Gorgeous. She doesnt think so. Just a girl. A girl like every other. A girl who feels more comfortable in jeans, t shirt and a ball cap. A girl more at home workin cattle than dodging people in a mall. A girl who loves the wide open spaces of the Nebraska Sandhills and feels confined in the big city. A girl who would rather fall asleep listening to the coyotes howl and the crickets chirp than to hear a train whistle and cars honk. A farmers daughter. A girl who would rather be behind the wheel of a tractor than the wheel of a car. A girl not afraid of hard work and getting dirty. A girl just like any other. Im just a girl.

The day has come for him to go. He holds her tight as tears stream down her face and says, "This isnt goodbye...This is i will see you see you soon and be home before you know it..." He kisses her forehead, her cheek, and as he kisses her lips and holds her tight. She grasps his hand as he releases her from his arms. Not wanting to let him go. Praying to god that this isnt the last time she sees his face or that this is the last time she feels his touch. It will be 6 months before she sees him again. That night for the first time in a long time she is alone. The bed seems massive with only her body in it. She holds his pillow tight breathing in his scent. Tears begin to fall. In the back of her mind is the small thought that he may not come home. She cries herself to sleep that night. His pillow wet with her tears. The next few days she seems to just be going thru the motions. The waiting has begun. Each day brings her closer to his return. She waits. She waits for his calls. She waits for his emails. Each day that passes she misses him more. But she know if their love can survive this it can survive anything. Before she knows it the day has arrived. The waiting is over. Her soldier is coming home! As she stands amongst all the other wives, fiances, and girlfriends she looks for him. She catches a glimpse of him and starts towards him. She breaks into a run. He opens her arms and she jumps into them. As he holds her with tears streaming down her face he hears her whisper "Ive been waiting." As he kisses her forehead he says "you dont have to wait anymore...i am home."
