Yesterday I went to the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival. The town prides itself as the capital of Popcorn.. especially microwave Popcorn. It was the home or Orville Redenbacher. His Popcorn factory was located in the town and holds the grand tradition in downtown Valparaiso since 1979. For those not familiar with the are think of it as a modern Mayberry. Its a nice place. Allot of people come down to the fest even those who are from out of state. Theirs alot of good food, Entertainment crafts, things for the kids.
I had a potato blossom. Which is like fried potato chips.. very good actually. An a gyro. and two things of freshly squeezed lemonade... the first one I felt damn I got cheated. but the second damn ... Lemonade without a mix is the only way to go.

As you can see I'm starting to grow in my stubble in a little bit. Looking good so far.
Since I couldn't get anyone to go with me I decided I needed to get my Mom out of the house and took her out.
Shes going to be moving in to my house and before I get hassled about your living with your mother crap... its better than living with a complete stranger. And she wants to help out I dont want her doing things for me. I love my independence. And I will not have her in my social life. More details she doesn't want to know. I'm just being a good son.
I just have been worried about her health lately. And its not going to change me either. I believe family comes first. And shes had a kidney operation more than a year ago and her back is bothering her..... so I have been concerned. We had this little agreement about moving on with my life.
Today for me has been the beginning of the Bears Football Season. OK just to let people know I really get into a Bears game. OK maybe too much lol But I have a good time watching. They got their first loss today so I might be a little grumpy tomorrow. I know its just starting Oh gawd was that a long game no one scored for the first three quarters. it was a good game and I give credit to the Chargers.
I care more about Chicago teams. As long as they are winning I continue on with the Chicago White Sox and the Cubs. Personally I'm a south sider lol I never said I hated baseball just not my thing. My Dad used to take me to those games and they do bring back sometimes painful memories. All and all not a bad weekend.
