My Walk
It's amazing how just a few simple words can change your life.
Back about 3 years ago I started the church thang was quite a struggle. I think the main struggle was letting go of my old life and old habits basicly seeing my faults. Some of it was the Churches we went we didn't quite "FIT" in.
A year and a half ago we found the church that we "FIT" in with.
During the last year I learn that God didn't expect me to be perfect which is what I thought. I mean most church look perfect don't they?
What I learn was to ask God to forgive me for my passed and present sins. and once that was done my sins were forgiven and forgotten. Pretty simple isn't it.
I still struggle with some of my old ways I haven't always been "nice" to everyone and I still tend to judge which I know is very wrong.
Back on July 11 my husband and I got Baptized their was 55 of us Baptized that evening. Not many have ever heard of that many at once.
We were very luck to be Baptized that day for it was a beautiful summer evening out on our new Church property.
It seems that week was long and very trying I thing I know understand when people say the devil try's to hold you down. But when I went into the water and came out I felt my sins being washed away. I felt everything being renewed. The chains were broken.
Now I'm not saying I still don't have the same struggle but I can say I'm getting better at become a better listener {one of thing that was hard for me to do before} and a better friend, mother, wife and all around person.
I know I'll have struggles for that the way the devil works, But I also know that I have my Faith and my Hope along with my Believe, I have nothing to worry about.
I go to a church called Leave a Mark {explaining the name of the Church is another story in itself ..lol} were no Perfect people are aloud I can honestly say our pastor is one of a kind you would have to meet and listen to him preach to understand. We've been very blessed to have met the people their and to have made new friends some of who are new to the walk like us and those that are firm in their walk .
I can honestly say that I'm truly BLESSED which is a good thing living in the time we are living in now.
So to all that read this I hope you find your "LEAVE A MARK " and your peace in life
