                                                               My Wake-up Call

        Picking up the pieces

         of my shattered Heart,

         wondering what happened,

         and what tore us apart.

       I used to wonder

        'What did I do?"

         where was the warning,

         I was gonna be hurt by you?

         sometimes I cry, when I'm alone,

         I often wonder if I called,

         would you answer the phone?

        I finally woke up,

      now I can see crystal clear,

      the abuse I took from you 

      I no-longer have to fear.

       I'm through with all the fighting,

      I'm through with all the lies,

     I'm through with all the pain,

    when my heart cries.

      I'm through with all the hurtin',

     I'm through with all the pain,

     I'm through with all the givin'

     and nothin' to gain.

     I'm through with all the excuses,

     for all the beatings you would do ,

    but most of all I'm through,

    of being hurt by you.

     Now that you are gone,

    I know I'm the one with class,
