Online or in person, to me, a friend is a friend. I'm thinking, though, to erase some on my list simply because there have been many a time that I have sent comments of different kinds and letters to some and I NEVER hear from them. I can understand if one is busy and hasn't been able to write for a couple of weeks to a month. Heck, I even think sometimes two months can be understandable...but once a year or never?? I mean, I'm not always good at letter writing...not always anyhow. BUT I try to get back to a person ALWAYS in reply or apologize if it takes me longer than usual which doesn't happen often. Well, I heard, from a friend, that some just want to be popular and think it's a game. Well, I've outgrown that since high school. I wasn't really popular and I didn't care. I had friends and that's what was and is important to me. I believe in quality, not quantity. I just see it this way...if one is going to be one's friend, BE A FRIEND! Do you agree with me? To me, a friend isn't a word, a space to fill on CherryTap or MySpace, a game or a contest, but friendship from the heart. Someone who is kind, caring, sweet, respectful, understanding, patient....well, a friend can't really be described in words, but more in actions and feelings. Sure, we are all online, but, come on...I would say alot of people fail in understanding when one requests to be a friend that it means that that person WANTS to be a FRIEND. A friend is not to be ignored. Friendship is priceless, valuable and like a treasure...a real friend wants to treat the other friend gently and with care. Again, online or not, a friend is a friend. And, who knows? One may actually meet that friend in person! I've met a couple of people who I've talked to online and they are as cool in person, too! Friends are those who I love and respect, not ignore or think of as a number or just another person to add to my list. Well, I'm just expressing my beliefs and thoughts. Is there anyone who agrees with me on this one?
Again, friendship comes from the heart, not by mouth or words on paper. Anything about friendship that's not from the heart is untrue and mockery. What do you think?
