Cross My Fingers At first we were just kids flirting for fun. You a guy saying sweet things, making my cheeks blush, I laughed and brushed it off. You persisted, still making my cheeks blush. Then the battle of debate changed, I couldn't fall you. My feet touch no longer the sweet soft earth. My heart flutters at the mere thought of you... You mistify me beyond a doubt... They'll Never Know... You look at me and see the girl who lives inside the golden world, But don't believe thats all there is to see. You'll never know the real me. She smiles through a thousand tears, and harbors adolescent fears. She dreams of all that she can never be. She wades in insecurity, and hides herself inside of me.
