I have always been a music lover. Its in my blood. My mom loved music,whether she was singing or dancing.My father played the bass guitar in a band so he was not only a lover but a participant. This love story of mine is like none other. Me and music will be together til death do us part. Its my drug.
Man, when a good song comes on, and I mean a song that strokes all the parts of your body that can tingle and the others part just grow tense, there's no better feeling. Hearing words come out in a sweet cord and hearing the guitar or drums set the dramatic effect is a feeling that you really cant put your finger on. All you can say is "umm". Feeling the pain in the bass and the joy in the cymbals can either bring you up or lay you down.I love music for it has ministered me through many problems, love triangles,spiritual warfares, and broken hearts! If it had not been for the song that God put on Marvin Sapps and Fred Hammonds heart, I dont think I'll be right here this moment. Music allows you to talk your problems out without looking crazy like you're talking to yourself. It allows you to not only talk OUT your problem, or talk THROUGH your problem but also to talk AT your problems. Had I not heard Gerald Levert or Patti Labelle, I may not be married today. Music is the tool that allows you to go from one extreme to the next and not need to explain how and why. REAL music speaks not only to your ears and your heart, but to your soul. That's good music.Music saves souls through God's divine appointment and it heals hearts. Where would YOU be if you hadnt heard not one song ever in your life? Without hearing Keyshia Cole, would you have been confident enought to let go? Would you be just fine if you never heard Mary?
Music is much more than entertainment, its a NEED!! Its a medicine that the world needs to keep it sane. It's my Love Drug!!
